Randy Brodnax and Don Ellis Wicked-Hot Hands-on Techniques!
May 6 – 10th. Fee: $550.00 Bring bisque ware and be prepared for Hands-on work. Throwing, Altering, and Alternative FiringĀ Techniques. Cutting-edge information! Join us for a 5-day Hands-on Workshop. We’ll be working wet and firing hot. Randy’s a great chef, too!
For those people attending the workshop you’ll want to bring 5 bisque fired pieces (2 of which can be treated with terra sig.)
Breakfast items and coffee is available in the main house at Pottery West. The workshop will begin at 9:00 am. Bring a bag lunch. We’ll be going from demonstrations at the wheel to firings outside: Low-fire salt saggar, Copper Matt and post-fuming techniques. 2 larger tumble-stack firings will take place in a kiln built by Randy and Don.
Cook-Off with Randy Brodnax - at some point during the weekend Randy will share his Cajun-cooking with us. We’ll be collecting $12.00 per person to go toward the dinner.
Bring with you: throwing tools, a container of sodium silicate, bats, towels, etc. Also bring a heat-gun. Bring your swimsuits if you’d like to swim in the pool at Pottery West to cool off during the workshop.

I woulgd like to attend this workshop. Could I stay on site and if yes What would the cost be. I would drive in LATE friday night and leave sunday after the workshop and yes i will bring my trunks.
