Pottery West offers classes and workshops in ceramics for for all levels from the absolute beginner to the professional artist. Our classes take place weekly and are scheduled during morning and evening hours. The best thing about Pottery West is the community of like-minded people who come together for the love of clay.
Inside Pottery West
A 3,000 sq ft facility fully equipped to offer a total clay experience.
Follow the long driveway to the pottery studio located behind the main house. The Pottery West studio is 3,000 sq ft pottery studio furnished with 21 potters wheels, a slab roller, wall-mounted extruder, glaze lab, 3 spray booths, a bench grinder, sandblaster, a 16 cu. ft. oval electric kiln, a 27 cubic foot Geil gas kiln, another 16 cu. ft gas kiln, an 80 cu. ft Train Wood-fire Kiln, and a 50 cu. ft Wood/Soda barrel-arch kiln.
There are over 20 cone 10 glazes available. Most of our glazes are Tom Coleman’s glazes. The pottery studio is equipped with satellite radio, surround sound, and a 42″ LCD screen. The windows and sky-lights provide natural lighting throughout the daytime and there is central air-conditioning and heating.
